Happy Birthday America!!

I'm a proud American and first I want to take a moment to thank all of our men and women serving over seas and here for our country. If it weren't for these men and women, now and our fallen (may they R.I.P) we wouldn't be the country we are today.

Woke up this morning and thought to myself, "It's going to be a good day!" We were celebrating Katelinn's birthday with my side of the family like we do every year. The reason we do it is generally because we are all together for the 4th of July celebration anyway.

We grilled out for Katelinn's birthday dinner, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Potato Salad, Chips and Dip and last but not least a Barbie Birthday cake for our wonderful almost 4 year old. My mom made the cake and it was absolutely beautiful. She made a Barbie cake for Hannah on her 4th birthday and wanted to do the same for Katelinn. Katelinn loved Barbie so it was the perfect idea.

After some food we did the gifts and Katelinn loved everything she got...she's always such an awesome kiddo saying Thank You to everyone for the gifts that were given and picking up after opening them. She got quite a few clothes, some Zhu Zhu Pets and some accessories for the Zhu Zhu Pets. She loves them, plays with them constantly.

After presents we did the cake and it was absolutely funny to watch her and wait for her to blow out her candles. It was like "Am I supposed to get this close to the candles mommy?" Papa Shoes helped her out a little bit on it, but she did great!
