Well it was 6 weeks earlier than we had planned, but on Wednesday evening we took him to the doctor because something wasn't right. Kaleb's sleeping habits have gone out the window in the past week or so. He's had a cough for well over a month now and it was just bothering me.
When we went in on the 23rd for his 18 month appointment his tubes were perfectly in place and everything was fine. In 3 weeks time Kaleb lost his tubes. When we took him in the doctor informed us that his tubes were falling out. I immediately called his ENT Thursday morning and made him an appointment.
Today we went in and found out exactly why Kaleb's sleeping habits have gone down hill. Kaleb's tubes are completely out. They are sitting in the ear canal waiting to fall out of his ears and he had an ear infection, there is still one there, but its small since he's been on antibiotics since Wednesday night.
Kaleb will be having tubes placed in his ears and his adenoids taken out on Tuesday, April 23rd at 7:20 a.m. That's right, he's having two things done this time. His adenoids are HUGE. It explains his horrendous snoring he's had the past few weeks. Glad I took him in when I did.
Katelinn will be going in on Monday the 22nd to see if her tubes are still in place and see about her adenoids because her sleeping habits have dropped as well. They say adenoids are a HUGE cause of this.
Keep Kaleb in your prayers and thoughts on Tuesday......we just want our happy bouncy baby boy back. He's just not himself.
